Trip to Bifeng Gorge and Wild Animal Park

Today we had a CLO trip to Bifengxia (gorge and wild animal park). We walked through the Panda park (very disappointing compared to the Chengdu Panda Base) and then went through the wild animal park. It started out like Jurassic Park - they drove us through pens full of lions, tigers, bears (oh my!)... then we got out and walked through the rest of the bizarre zoo with lots of beautiful animals that were not being particularly well cared for. It was kind of depressing. And it went on forever! Finally we made our way back, just before the sky opened!!! We drove home in mostly downpour. (Good timing - I had about 5 umbrellas in the car, but of course, none with us on the walk!)
