Here's AB playing at the airport while we wait for our (very delayed) flight. Poor Ayi - while I was packing up the room and getting ready to check out, she went out to buy some noodles and rice for us to eat. She got a little lost on her way back, and arrived just in time for us to check out. We wrapped up the food in double plastic shopping bags, and put it in one of the carry on bags to get to the airport. I had thought that she bought fried rice, which she did, but she also had noodles in soup... uh oh! By the time we got to the airport and got all checked in, the paper bowls were completely soggy and collapsed. We sat down to try to eat some anyway, and almost immediately, our flight was called. We abandoned the food, as there was no way to re-wrap it and take it with us, and then, as soon as we got to the boarding line, they announced that there was a problem with the plane and we would be delayed!

It seemed every flight to Chengdu was delayed - the earlier flight that my colleagues were on ended up re-routed to Chongqing and they sat there for HOURS before they could get to Chengdu (due to bad weather in Chengdu). Anyway, I knew we'd be waiting a while and AngelBaby was still hungry (we were too), so we sat at the little restaurant and ordered some new food while we waited.

The original food ayi bought was so much better (and WAY less expensive!), but AB was happy to have noodles! We ended up finally getting on our plane, but didn't get home until after midnight! Whew!
