Happy Early Birthday, Angel Baby!

Tonight some of my contacts threw an early birthday party for AngelBaby. I had suggested we do it at the vegetarian restaurant (no meat, no smoking, no booze!) but they chose another place. They have great vegetarian food, and also plenty of meat, so everyone was happy. The twins turn two years old 10 days after AB turns three, so they were invited too!
the first thing she said when we got out of the car was, "I see Buddha!"




this is "shou mian" - long life noodles. They make the character "shou" (long life) in carrot shreds. Cool, huh?
another birthday special long life thing - a peach tree made from watermelon, peaches made of steamed bread
they had a face-changing performer - this is a Sichuan opera specialty
it's really cool!
but the twins didn't like it!
