Ocean World aquarium

Today we went to Ocean World aquarium, and to a bunch of other places to see if I could find some cute sandals for AB and me. No luck on the sandals, but we did get to see this cool aquarium, which is in the bottom of a huge shopping center! We also had lunch there, and wandered around a bit. I bought a day pass for the sky train, so we were able to get around pretty easily. AB love sto hang on to the handles on the train and say "hold on tight!" The Bangkok Skytrain beeps like a smoke detector when the doors are about to close, and every time, AB said "ayi chao cai, doo doo doo doo" which means "Ayi is cooking vegetables" (and the sound of the smoke detector). That's not a dig on Ayi's cooking at all - I have no kitchen fan, so any time you use the stove or oven at all, if you forget to close the door to the kitchen, the smoke detector goes off! Anyway, it was cute! I am really sore from carrying AB in the hip panda carrier. I brought that one over my favorite Moby Wrap, thinking that it would be too hot to wear it. Probably true, but Bangkok is so not stroller friendly! There are a ton of stairs to get to the Skytrain at every stop, and the sidewalks are terrible! Still - next time we go anywhere, I think we are taking the stroller! I'll just fold it up and hike it up the stairs... I think we may hit the zoo tomorrow...





I changed the setting on the camera to try to get the aquarium to show up too - neat pics! Weird motion effect!

another trip to the pool

Back to the pool - this time it's after my surgery - so I can't get water in my eye. Baby pool only! I love my little camera with the underwater casing, but it does have a bit of a delay in taking the pic - hence all these pics of her looking down! Oh well, still cute! :)

Yep - anyway, about the LASIK - it goes by really quickly and even though the "making the flap" part made me feel like squirming, it only took a few seconds for each eye, so it wasn't long to endure. I'm glad I put up with it - how great to not need glasses or contacts anymore! No more waking up with mangled or lost glasses, or with contacts glued to my eyeballs! Yay!

pool time in Bangkok!

It's so nice to be in Bangkok. Blue skies, and if there are clouds, they are white and fluffy! It's warm even late in the day, so I took AB down to the pool. The sun was behind a building, so we didn't have to worry about sunburn! :) It was a bit breezy so she got a little cold, but she was just so excited to get back in the pool! Her cute little surfing suit with the built in floatation that I got from Costco WAY before I adopted her finally fits! :) Isn't she so cute?
